Simverge recently delivered to Dignitas Technologies the initial alpha release (v0.1.0) of Keryx, a Synthetic Natural Environment as a Service (SNEaaS) API. Keryx complements previous and ongoing research by Dignitas for the US Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI).

Simverge began collaborating with Dignitas at the end of 2017 on the development of a simple, portable, and expandable solution for integrating synthetic environment services to the cloud. The goal is to flexibly distribute queries among available providers based on capabilities, resolution, and availability. This effort was sponsored by PEO STRI’s Synthetic Environment Core (SE Core) program.

Keryx 0.1.0 provides interfaces for various programming languages to facilitate integration into existing service consumers and service providers. For example, the C# interface enables the use of Keryx with the Unity game engine. Keryx is written in C++ and has been built and tested on Windows and Linux platforms.
